Centinela Capital Partners, LLC is an independent alternative investment management firm that provides discretionary services in alternative investments via fund-of-funds, separate accounts, co-investments and secondaries. Within these broad services we emphasize discovering new opportunities, particularly with emerging managers. We are able to customize individual programs to meet our clients’ needs. Investments can be across all sub-asset classes including corporate finance/buyout, growth capital, venture capital, mezzanine, distressed debt and real assets.

We have over 100 combined years of alternative investment experience as general partners, limited partners and operating executives. We have extensive experience with:

- primary fund investing
- secondary investing, and
- complicated restructurings
We have been involved with all phases of the deal process including, sourcing, due diligence, evaluating operating management, negotiating terms and conditions, monitoring investments, and exiting investments. We also have deep experience with the work of running a private equity fund including, fundraising, marketing, human resources, recruiting operating executives, board participation, as well as experience serving as interim operating executives in portfolio companies.
Centinela Capital is particularly suited to discovering, evaluating, investing in and supporting emerging alternative investment managers. Our team has significant experience as and with entrepreneurs. We have started private equity firms, formed new teams and launched new institutional investment strategies as well as invested in next generation funds. As a result Centinela Capital brings a comprehensive background, broad networks and unique insights to the challenges and opportunities presented by emerging managers.
History
Centinela Capital was founded in 2006 with the backing of the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) for whom Centinela Capital currently manages a $400 million private equity domestic emerging manager fund-of-funds.
